Section 1B reflection
It was nice to see the students noticing the impact their state of mind has on how they respond to life. Bonnie talking about checking in with herself to get a perspective on how things are for her got me reflecting.

“I was reading over this MGI student reflection more slowly today and was so impressed by the level of wisdom and depth demonstrated in one so young. Very inspiring! I need to remind myself more often of what she said.”

I was really impressed with how well the students understood and described their learning and how it has impacted them. They seem so much more aware than even my own work colleagues as adults – I can really see how this learning at a young age could be so beneficial to navigating and creating a fulfilling life! Personally, I’ve always been a bit apprehensive of working with this age group but I would love to start some discussions with my own ‘moody’ and ‘introverted’ 14 year old daughter so am looking forward to moving through the course – even if it is ever so slowly!
