    Your Introduction To The Group

    • What ages do you work with and/or what roles do you have in your position?
    • What have you learned yourself that is a reason you would like to share the Three Principles and My Guide Inside with your students and colleagues?

Hi Everyone, Formerly I was a LIST teacher in Special Ed. Currently I am working with a variety of ages covering primary, intermediate and secondary ages. I am teaching online via zoom and privileged to work with kids from many countries. (I used to teach all these ages in schools, but haven’t since covid.) I also host the zoom sharing for MGI and support teachers piloting MGI Online.

What I have learned myself is that the knowledge shared in MGI is essential for “knowing myself and understanding my world” and creates a positive trajectory for kids of any age. The stories are universal and are a simple way to show the feeling, power and the logic of the 3 Principles! (The picture is of Bob and me with our 4 grandkids down at our neighbourhood beach.)

Ciao to everyone from northern Italy!

My name is Lorraine and I have been an elementary school teacher at an International IB school teaching the PYP for over 15 years. I have been the homeroom teacher for grades 1,4 and 5, have been subject leader and media centre coordinator in my various roles. My most recent role was with Grade 5 students (10-11 yo) Last year I decided I needed to take some time for me as a voice inside me was getting louder telling me that there was something else for me. Hence, currently I am on a sabbatical year away from school. I came across the principles last year and have been on a transformational journey ever since 🙂 I feel a calling to share this understanding with others, in particular with youngsters and this is what has brought me here, I want to see and experience ways in which this understanding can be shared with youngsters.

I have two children, 7 and 9 years old, therefore in no small part, this is also a primary reason for participating – the more I can uncover for myself, the more authentically I can model (BE) for them to stay connected to what is.

Thank you for this opportunity and I am really looking forward to getting started next week!

    Have a great Friday!

    Lorraine

    Hi Christa, Lorraine and Hilda,
My name is Sarah and I live on the east coast of Canada. I moved here a year and a half ago from the west coast. In fact Christa and I were nearly neighbours and have been friends for many years. We worked together in the Gulf Islands school district. I am ready to share anything I have seen about the 3 Principles with anyone of any age – if they are interested! And that of course includes my 3 grandchildren here in Nova Scotia, ages 13,8 and 5. I look forward to “meeting” you!

    Hi Christa and everyone!

I’ve been an early childhood teacher for around 20 years now and live in the small coastal town of Kaikoura in New Zealand. I have been doing a coaching training course based on Sydney Banks 3 Principles and have read The Missing Link and watched many of Syd’s videos and listened to various podcasts and have been on my own ‘spiritual journey’ to find my true purpose in life, as we all have! I initially signed up to become an Innate Wellbeing coach to support my staff as their manager but now I have moved back into just being a teacher – just for practicalities sake around staffing and for my own sanity, so I was looking for some 3P’s information for working with young children, their families and educators and feel so blessed to have found this wonderful offering an amazing platform!!!

I currently work with infants and toddlers but do interact with the 2-5 year olds and we have an amazing ECE curriculum but I am confident that there will be some wonderful insights through this training so I’m really looking forward to it! I have a bit of a broad vision of sharing the 3 Principles with the wider education sector in my small town, as well as with children/students, their parents and the wider community and perhaps clients one day so it is a work in progress! Having been an elected member previously, I feel it would be of huge benefit to somehow introduce it into that political realm as well but small steps for now, lol.

My main strength in teaching would be around building strong and trusting relationships so I see a real value in teaching others to know who they truly are and how to build a strong and lasting relationship with their ‘Guide Inside’ so thank you again for a wonderful opportunity to train with you Christa!

I will just add that I am qualified to teach the Early Years 0-8 year olds (and beyond potentially) but have not ventured into Primary Schooling as it wasn’t a good fit for me – a bit too rigid and stifling for myself and children I felt!

    Hi Darlene,

    So glad you found this!

You clearly have much experience as an early childhood teacher—Barb Aust—who supported the development of My Guide Inside curriculum advocates that everyone has an opportunity to work with young children as you can learn so much from them.

Your vision is inspiring…the kids love MGI and, you’re right, it does take many steps to initiate this in a wider education sector.

    Welcome Darlene!
